The Eagle Point Lakeside Pavilion is a major element of the Eagle Point Masterplan, providing a key focal point for the community on the foreshore of Lake King. The building and surrounding landscape design were established through careful study of the existing architectural and landscape types within the surrounding area, providing a new insertion sympathetic to its context. The facility provides reception and visitor information for the adjacent Eagle Point Caravan Park, public toilet faculties, bookable event space and a café with expansive desking overlooking the lake. The project is the culmination of an extensive consultation process with the broader community and GLAWAC (Gunaikurnai Land and Waters Aboriginal Corporation) to ensure preservation of the cultural heritage of the site. The project also includes remediation and mitigation of lake shore erosion to address current conditions and ensure climate changes resilience of the site in the longer term.
